Since 2010, we have been more than just a dental practice — we are a cornerstone of the Hudson County community dedicated to helping families achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles.
Our Story
Bay Area Dental Group was founded in 2010 by Dr. Michael Chen, a Columbia University-trained dentist with a simple but powerful vision: to create a dental practice that patients would actually look forward to visiting.
Starting with a single location in Bayonne, New Jersey, Dr. Chen built his practice one patient relationship at a time — earning a reputation for exceptional clinical skill combined with genuine compassion and clear communication.
By 2015, demand had grown enough to open our Jersey City location, followed by our Hoboken office in 2018. Today, Bay Area Dental Group employs a team of 20+ dental professionals serving over 5,000 active patients across three convenient Hudson County locations.
Despite our growth, we have never lost sight of what makes us different: treating every patient like family, staying at the forefront of dental technology, and making quality dental care accessible to everyone in our community.
